Peptide stability depends on sequence, storage temperature, pH, and exposure to light and freeze-thaw cycles. The figures below are general guidance; always defer to the stability window printed on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis.
General guidance
- Lyophilized peptides stored at −20 °C and kept desiccated are typically stable for 24 months or more.
- Reconstituted working solutions held at 2–8 °C are typically stable for about 28 days for most sequences.
- Repeated freeze-thaw cycles accelerate degradation — aliquot before freezing where possible.
- Light, heat, and oxidation are the primary drivers of loss for sensitive sequences.
If a lot shows a temperature excursion in transit, contact us with the batch number and we will review it under our 30-day lot policy.
